How to enter

  1. Complete your set of all five Heirs of the Black Dynasty novels in physical form — The Widow Contract, The Black Crown Vow, The Drago Betrayal, The Moretti Heir, Queen of the Black Dynasty. Any physical copies count.
  2. Take a photo of you with all five books.
  3. Post it publicly on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, tag @tiernancrow, and use #HeirsShelf.
  4. Send your order number(s) — from this store or Amazon — with a link to your post via the contact form (subject "HEIRS SHELF") or by DM to @tiernancrow. Your name goes in the January 10th draw.

Also collecting the Blackthornes? The Blackthorne Shelf Challenge has its own $500. Enter both.

Official rules

  1. No purchase necessary. A purchase does not increase your odds of winning.
  2. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States & DC, age 18+. Void where prohibited. Employees and household members of the sponsor are ineligible.
  3. Entry period: August 12, 2026 – January 9, 2027, 11:59 PM PT. Drawing: January 10, 2027.
  4. Entry: complete steps 1–4 above. One entry per person per challenge. Photo must show all five physical books.
  5. Free alternate entry: hand-print your full name, mailing address, and email on a 3×5 card with the words "HEIRS SHELF CHALLENGE" and mail it in a stamped envelope to: Winning Power — Shelf Challenge, 2460 17th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. One entry per envelope, received by January 9, 2027. Free-route entries have the same odds as all other entries.
  6. Prize: one (1) winner receives $500 USD via PayPal or electronic gift card (winner's choice), delivered within 14 days of confirmation. Odds depend on the number of entries.
  7. Winner selected by random drawing on January 10, 2027, notified by DM from the official @tiernancrow account or by email, and given 14 days to respond, or an alternate is drawn. We will never ask for payment or card details to deliver a prize.
  8. Sharing or resharing is appreciated but never required and does not affect your odds.
  9. By entering with a photo, you grant the sponsor a non-exclusive license to reshare your entry photo, with credit. You keep ownership of your photo.
